With Automic SaaS, the modern, scalable automation platform continues to evolve – and that’s exactly where the latest Automic SaaS Diaries come in.
After covering fundamentals, APIs, and common use cases in earlier episodes, Episodes 16 to 18 take things one step further:
- How do you reliably monitor your SaaS instance?
- What new possibilities are emerging with SaaS Agents?
- And how do you connect systems without direct Internet access?
As always, Marcin delivers short, practical insights – perfect for understanding real-world SaaS challenges and applying solutions directly.
If you missed the earlier episodes:

More InformationEpisode 16: Automic SaaS instance down?! How to stay in control
When your Automic SaaS instance suddenly becomes unresponsive, the first reaction is often panic. In this episode, Marcin shows how to take a structured approach to find out what’s really happening.
The first stop: Broadcom’s official status page, where you can:
- Check the health of the SaaS infrastructure
- Subscribe to notifications (global or per region)
- Stay informed about planned maintenance
On top of that, it’s highly recommended to implement additional monitoring mechanisms – for example via AWI or REST API health checks. The key is to monitor from multiple angles to quickly isolate network-related issues.

More InformationEpisode 17: SaaS Agents – the next evolution step
Automic SaaS already runs in the cloud – and now the agents are moving there too.
In this episode, you get an early look at the new SaaS-based agents, starting with the REST Integration Agent. It runs inside a Kubernetes container close to your SaaS environment and introduces several exciting capabilities:
- Direct access to external cloud services
- Full Internet connectivity
- Seamless integration within the SaaS architecture
The best part: the pricing model remains familiar – just like on-prem agents, billing is based on execution. And this is only the beginning, with more SaaS agents already on the way.

More InformationEpisode 18: Connecting to Automic SaaS without Internet access
Not every environment has direct Internet access – especially in sensitive infrastructures or DMZ setups.
In this episode, Marcin explains how you can still connect to Automic SaaS efficiently. While standard proxy or reverse proxy setups are possible, there’s a more elegant solution: the Automic Proxy.
Here’s the basic idea:
- Install the Automic Proxy Server and Client in your environment
- Configure agents to connect to the proxy instead of SaaS directly
- Only the proxy requires Internet access
- Optionally use multiple proxies for load balancing
This approach makes even highly restricted environments SaaS-ready – fully supported by Broadcom.
Conclusion: More control, more possibilities, more flexibility
Episodes 16 to 18 of the Automic SaaS Diaries clearly show where things are heading:
More transparency in operations, new architectural possibilities with SaaS Agents, and flexible integration options – even under challenging conditions.
If you’re already working with Automic SaaS or planning a migration, these episodes provide exactly the kind of insights you need to make informed decisions.
