What's new in Automic 24.1?

Automic version 24.1 is the first minor release after version 24.0 and brings new features as well as bug fixes. These updates not only improve security, but also the user-friendliness and functionality of the software.

Improved accessibility in AWI

Accessibility is a major topic in Automic V24. Broadcom has revised the status icons in the Automic Web Interface (AWI). The icons are now larger and more contrasting, which significantly improves their recognisability. These changes ensure that all users can work better with the AWI.

Enhancements to the Automic Rest API

Numerous functions have been added to the Automic Rest API, particularly in the areas of user and client management. You can now create users directly via the API and close user connections. In addition, the new ‘move’ endpoint allows you to move users from client 0 to other clients.

New functions for administrators

Automic 24.1 brings some important new features for administrators. It is now possible to download telemetry data in CSV format directly in the AWI. In addition, the encryption tool ucybcryp is now also available for Linux, which simplifies security management.

News for SaaS and Kubernetes users

Automic 24.1 also brings new features for SaaS and Kubernetes users. SaaS customers can now create new user accounts themselves. The Automic Helm plugin has been made optional for the Automic Automation Kubernetes Edition (AAKE) and the upgrade processes have been optimised. In addition, the AAKE containers now run in restricted mode.

New integrations

Broadcom has released new integrations and expanded existing ones. Of particular note is the support of FTP integration for HTTP proxy connections, which improves the flexibility of your automation processes.

Conclusion

Automic 24.1 brings numerous improvements and new features that enhance the usability, management and security of the platform.
