Status Codes in Automic and what they mean
The video first explains that wait states in Automic are represented by certain status codes, which are usually highlighted in blue. You will learn about four common but harmless wait states: ‘Waiting for predecessor’, ‘Idle state’, ‘Waiting for start time’ and ‘Waiting for SYNC’. We will discuss that there are status codes that require user intervention. These include ‘Waiting for user input’ and ‘Waiting for user’. Statuses such as ‘Called’, ‘Accepted’ and ‘Escalated’, which belong to notification objects, are also introduced. You will learn about other relevant return codes: ‘Waiting for preconditions’, ‘Waiting for external dependency’, ‘Registered’, ‘Waiting for the end of parallel tasks’, ‘Waiting for queue slot’ and ‘Waiting for host’. For all those who would like to discover more exotic states, some less frequently occurring wait states are also described. These include ‘Waiting for restart time’, ‘Waiting for resource (max. jobs exceeded)’, ‘Waiting for resource (max. file transfers exceeded)’ and ‘Waiting for the host of an agent group’. Not all wait states are equally relevant, as some only occur for a short time and require no further action on your part. Many states are completely harmless and do not require any action from the user.
