Requests, Notifications, and Messages in the AWI

In their daily work with Automic Automation, operators regularly encounter requests and notifications. But what exactly do these terms mean – and where can you find them in the AWI (Automic Web Interface)?

In diesem Beitrag bekommst du einen kompakten und praxisnahen Überblick, wie du effizient mit diesen Funktionen arbeitest, worauf du achten musst, und welche Möglichkeiten dir das AWI zusätzlich bietet.

Understanding the Request View in the AWI

The focus of the course is on the Request View, a central overview that lists all active notifications and requests. We will show you how these entries are created – for example, through CALL objects, PromptSets, READ masks, or through manual execution with activation reports and test options.

You will also learn how you're notified about new requests: via blue pop-ups, browser push notifications, emails or the yellow number next to the bell icon in the AWI menu.

Efficiently work with Entries and Queries

The Request View not only allows you to process individual requests – you can also filter and group entries and edit them with bulk actions. Exceptionally practical: some tasks can also be taken over by other users.

We show you step by step how to work with it – including examples, demos, and practical tips.

The often overlooked Message Console

Another highlight: the Message Console in AWI, recognizable by the envelope icon. There, you can see the system messages displayed in real time – for example, about successful executions or errors. You can pause, search, separate into a separate pop-up, or configure the console using the gear icon.

On top of that, we also cover the topic of memory trace dumps for administrators in detail.

Perfect for operators in everyday Automic use

This course is perfect for anyone who works with the Automic web interface – whether in first-level support, as an operator, or as a system administrator.

With videos, demos, exercises, and a quiz, this course will leave you fully prepared to get the most out of the Request View and Message Console.
